Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Opened in 1962, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course sits on 330 acres and features a permanent road-racing circuit with two primary track configurations. Referred to as the “Most Competitive in the U.S.” and annually hosts a diversity of locally, regionally and nationally sanctioned race events.

Things to Know

Wander over to the natural bleachers at turn 5 if you want a fun place to sit and watch the action while you wait for your next driving session.
The Honda performance driving school, based at Mid-Ohio, offers a range of courses to help you learn the track from local pros.
While you're at the track pick up tickets for the Indy 200 race that takes place at Mid-Ohio every year. Hands down one of the best tracks for spectating.

Turn 5

Think about this turn in three phases. Uphill entry, the crest, and the downhill exit.
Make the topography work for you by using the brakes and start your turn in during the uphill red phase. Coast or hold a light maintenance throttle over the crest blue phase. Finally, wait until the car feels settled and then progressively add throttle in the downhill green phase.
